Angling on the Ohanapecosh

National Park: Mt. Rainier National Park, Washington State
Description: I took a hiking trip with my family in Mt. Rainier National Park. We hiked the Silver Falls Trail, which follows the Ohanapecosh River as it descends from higher elevations. I was filled with awe as I looked down from a bridge above this scene to the aquamarine colored water below, the color caused by runoff from the melting glaciers on the mountain. The towering thousand year old Douglas Fir and Western Red Cedar trees dwarfed the people below who were fishing the river. I included one fisherman to give a sense of the scale of this incredible natural beauty.
