A Charmed Life
Celene Hawkins and M.P. Wiggins, curated by Sandy Eichert
(Cincinnati, Ohio) - Eisele Gallery presents “A Charmed Life” an exhibition curated by Sandy Eichert featuring Celene Hawkins and M.P. Wiggins. The gallery will host an opening reception for the artists on Friday March 11th from 6-9pm. This exhibition will feature paintings by Cincinnati artist M.P. Wiggins in the gallery and sculpture by Cincinnati artist Celene Hawkins installed in the gallery’s display windows. The artwork will be on view at the Eisele Gallery from March 11th – April 9th, 2022. The paintings by Wiggins are rooted in personal experience and memory. Abstract in nature the brilliant reds, purples and greens suggest emotional states, musical notations and intellectual structure. Celene Hawkins’ newest body of work uses biomorphic shapes laser cut from acrylic and wood. Photographic images incorporated into the sculptures merge patterns and forms together in harmony. Hawkins finds inspiration for this work in the language of design and the narrative of the natural world.
